BOSCH Electronic washer troubleshooting

Washing machines comprising the Bosch Electronic range are reliable front-loading models with varying drum capacities. Some of the models are equipped with a temperature selector. Typically, there is also a very convenient Rinse Hold option available, which is activated by a button on the control panel.

Foam comes out of the detergent drawerToo much detergent was used. Switch the machine off for 5 - 10 minutes. Prevent foam building up by putting a tablespoon of fabric softener and half a litre /1 pt of water into the detergent drawer. Reduce the detergent dosage in the next wash.
Foam is visible after the final rinseSome detergents produce a large quantity of foam although this has no effect on the rinsing result.
Unexpected motor noisesThis is not a malfunction. During the heating stage, the motor produces noises characteristic of starting.
Pump noisesThis is not a malfunction. These noises are characteristic of the machine starting and the pump discharging.
The machine vibrates when washing or spinningThe transport securing devices have not been removed. See the machine installation instructions. The adjustable feet on the machine were not fixed during installation of the appliance. Align the machine using a spirit level and fix the feet as indicated in the installation instructions.
The appliance does not spin or drain the used water.The outlet pump is blocked. The outlet pipe is bent or blocked.
The door does not openThe safety device is activated. The «Rinse hold» option has been selected.

Bosch Exxcel washer troubleshooting

The Bosch Exxcel lineup consists of front-loading washers offering a comparatively wide choice of programs and temperatures. Some of the optional features include Reduced Ironing (creases are reduced), Rinse Plus (adds one more rinsing cycle), and Wash Plus (provides a longer and more intensive washing cycle).

Increase in Ready in" time.In the case of excessive foam, the foam detection system has activated an additional rinse cycle and an additional spin cycle to ensure the rinsing result.Reduce the amount of detergent next time.
For severe imbalances during spinning, an increase in time of approx. 10 minutes can occur because of repeated distribution of the laundry.Wash large and small items together in order to reduce the imbalance.
If very cold water must be heated up, an increase in time of approx. 20 minutes can result.

Bosch WFMC washer troubleshooting

The Bosch WFMC series includes front-loading washers with such additional options as Eco, Rinse Plus, Delay Start (up to a maximum of 19 hours), Bleach, Reduced Ironing, and Stain Removal. The list of the features, as well as capacity and dimensions, vary from one model to another.

Detergent underdosed.Dose detergent according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Detergent residue on the washing.Some phosphate-free detergents contain water-insoluble residues that may appear as light spots on the laundry.Brush out the washing after drying.
Grey residue on the washing.Soiling caused by ointment, grease or oil.Select maximum detergent dosage and maximum permitted temperature for the next wash cycle.
