If there is F06 on the display, there is a motor tachometer problem. In other words, the control is not reading the motor speed, causing the machine to stop. If the problem appears when the drum is spinning at a high speed, the door latch will unlock after 3 minutes.
Why it happens and what to do about it:
- Unplug/disconnect your washer.
- Check the wire harnesses between the motor control board and motor, and between the main control board and motor control board.
- If you are dealing with the intermittent F06 error, it may be due to poor connection in the motor-to-motor-control-board or motor-control-board-to-main-control-board harnesses. Also, there may be an issue in connections around the motor tachometer or poor connection between the components of the motor control board. If you have replaced the main control board, and the error is still there, most likely, you have loose connections in the motor control board.
